College: A four-year
starter at cornerback, Burress played in 43 career games for the
Wildcats. Recorded 22 tackles and came up with an interception
in his senior season. Compiled 74 tackles in his career, including
a personal-best 34 in his sophomore year. Led the team in pass
breakups his junior season with 10.
Personal: A Memphis , Tenn. , native, Burress
was born Nov. 9, 1981. He is the son of Son of Leland and Shirley
Burress. Lists UK 's 7-5 bowl-eligible record in 2002 as his most
memorable experience playing football. Notes becoming a broadcaster
would be his dream job. A four-year starter on both offense and
defense at Trezevant High School , Burress led his team to the
state playoffs each of his four seasons.
